  • 25 years of research in child behavior and child development;
     
  • Attended and participated in series of seminars on child abuse & prevention;
     
  • Active member of La Leche League researching the benefits of infant/parent bonding;
     
  • Active member, researcher, and speaker at Positive Parenting group;
     
  • Active member of the PTA;
     
  • Director of Positive Solutions, preparing and teaching workshops for children, teens, and parents;
     
  • Developed "Parents and Teens Unite," a program for parents and teens who have problems with communication. Worked with teens to determine the issues they had with their parents, and vice versa. Then discussed the teen's views of the issues presented by the parents, and vice versa. Brought the parents and teens together to communicate about the issues and to learn new ways to effectively communicate and understand one another;
     
  • Volunteered at elementary schools for 14 years assisting teachers with curriculum and to assist children who were having difficulties learning to read;
     
  • Active member of Block Parent program that provided safety to children at risk of danger;
     
  • Operated a licensed child care center providing a safe, loving, and educational environment for young children;
     
  • Tutored children and teens who needed assistance to meet their potential;
     
  • Legal Secretary/Paralegal for 7 1/2 years;
     
  • Member of Board of Advisors, volunteer investigator and researcher for the Emancipation Project;
     
  • Working with government officials, Child Protective Services, and the press to promote more regulation and monitoring of the so-called “teen-help” industry;
     
  • Founder and President of the Coalition Against Institutionalized Child Abuse "CAICA." Working to help regulate the for-profit youth industry that, for the most part, is unregulated. Isabelle learned of the injustices that occur in these facilities October 2004 and has felt compelled to make a difference for the children who have been harmed and their parents who have been defrauded.
