Girl struggles with police at treatment center

WILKES-BARRE – Police arrested a 17-year old girl late Wednesday night on charges she damaged property at Bridgeview.

Officers responded to Bridgeview, a residential treatment center on New Hill Street, at about 11:30 p.m. and encountered the girl acting disorderly. The girl struggled with police while officers arrested her.

Police said the girl damaged property at the center.

The girl will be petitioned to Luzerne County Juvenile Court on charges of institutional vandalism, disorderly conduct and harassment.
