May 2005 19-Year Old Tells Her Story: "... My experience there was horrific and abusive to the best of my recollection. I had been diagnosed with severe depression and post traumatic stress syndrome. The treatment I received was in no way therapeutic for my diagnosis. On the worst day, I was given a forced injection of a powerful chemical restraint, Haldol, while 6 people brutally held me down on the ground..."

Montel Williams Show: Samantha Monroe attended Straight, Inc. from 1981-1983 - "... Samantha spent the next two years of her life surviving Straight. She was beaten, starved, and denied toilet privileges for days on end. She describes her “humble pants,” a punishment that forced her to wear the same pants for six weeks at a time. Declaration of Rachel Hope Roberts: "I was scared and I dropped to my knees, there was no strength in my body. I then had to remove my pants and I was given a shot in the butt of Haldol.... I’ve seen the effects of Haldol on others. One friend at PCS had a muscle spasm and was unable to move her neck; another one who was unable to keep her tongue in her mouth because it was so swollen.  She just kept drooling. It gave some of the girls’ lazy eyes that just sit there at the bottom of the eye and go nowhere...."

January 18, 2004 SUMMARY OF ABUSE SUFFERED BY MY CHILD: Assault, battery, hair pulled, restrained against her will, drugged with an overdose of Haldol which caused her to black out and wake to blindness, facial paralysis and pain, drooling and lethargy for three days. Imprisoned and forced to sit in structure (staring strait ahead) for up to 5 hours. Woke to vaginal bleeding and wet pants on the morning after Haldol injection. CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATED: Freedom of speech, religion right to safe and humane treatment, prevented from writing grievances and punished for suggesting that others write grievances. Punished with isolation for venting about her abuse and mistreatment in a group therapy session on December 13.
